Thomas Anglero is a Strategic AI Advisor, keynote speaker, and author of Intro to Artificial Intelligence. He has delivered more than 450 keynotes across over 30 countries for organisations including IBM, the World Health Organisation, the World Government Summit, and the European Commission.
Four times in his career, he has stood at the front of a technological shift before it became obvious. In February 1995, he was among the earliest users and beta testers of VocalTec Internet Phone, the first commercial VoIP software. As CEO of Free World Dialup in 2001, he led one of the first peer-to-peer internet telephony ventures, a story he told live on CNN as its Maverick of the Day. In 2017, he founded the IBM Watson AI Lab for Cancer at the Oslo Cancer Cluster, one of the first AI laboratories for cancer on a European cancer campus. In 2025, he built his latest venture with AI agents as the engineering team.
As Nordic CTO and Innovation Officer at Cognizant, he closed over $500 million in enterprise transformation deals. At IBM, he served as Nordic Director of Innovation and the global spokesperson for IBM Watson.
Today, he advises executive leaders and boards through MerkabaPhi AS in Oslo, and hosts the weekly podcast and newsletter Clarity at the Top. He is the author of ‘Intro to Artificial Intelligence’, which gives readers insight into getting the most out of AI and utilising it to its full potential.
