Her career achievements span both public and private sectors. Sue was the youngest Regional Director of the Confederation of British Industry in the Southwest, later becoming Director of Communications at The Bristol Port Company. She then served as Chief Executive Officer of Quartet Community Foundation, where she led the growth of its endowment from £23 million to over £50 million, doubling annual grant-making. These leadership roles underpin her authority on governance, organisational resilience, and risk management, all critical to cyber security strategy.

Sue is ranked among the world’s Top 100 Women in AI Ethics and is among a pioneering global cohort accredited in the independent audit of AI systems. She is a Founder Member of the United Nations AI Skills Coalition and has developed proprietary Responsible AI and governance frameworks now used by multinational organisations. In recognition of her wider impact, Sue was awarded an OBE for Services to Social Justice.
