Kevin Warwick is a pioneer of robotics, artificial intelligence, and biomedical engineering, best known for becoming the youngest Fellow of the City & Guilds of London Institute. At the age of 22, Kevin completed his first degree at Aston University, followed by a PhD and a research position at Imperial College. Determined to create a profound career, he held positions at Oxford, Newcastle, Warwick, and Reading Universities before securing a position at Coventry in 2014. Now a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Kevin has gained the opportunity to showcase his specialist knowledge with a new generation of technology professionals.

From increasing the interest in STEM subjects in schools, to researching a variety of deadly diseases, Kevin’s career has been focused on implementing a positive change within society. Pushing the boundaries of human ability, he developed a genetic algorithm named Gershwyn and the robot head, Morgui. Intrigued to test the limits of his technical ability, he wanted to research the ethical implications of robotics, leading to his human enhancement experiments and ethical dilemmas.

In recognition of his remarkable career achievements, Kevin received the Future Health Technology Award in 2000, and was later presented with the Institution of Engineering and Technology Achievement Medal. Also featured in the Guinness Book of Records for his internet learning experiment with robots, his curious mindset has allowed him to push the boundaries of technology throughout his career.
