Keren Elazari

A distinguished Israeli cyber security analyst, Keren Elazari has forged a respectable career as a preeminent authority on keeping online data safe from the prying eyes of cybercriminals. Learning the ins and outs of hacking in online chat rooms as a child, Keren was drafted as a Cyber Security Officer in the Intelligence Arm of the Israel Defense Forces – utilising her expertise as a white-hat hacker. Now hired as an expert cyber security speaker, Keren specialises in the importance of ethical hacking and educating audiences on how they can protect their digital assets from cyber criminals.

Introduced to the internet aged 11, Keren soon became fascinated with white-hat hacking. Learning the ropes of ethical hacking, Keren was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces, serving for ten years in the army as an influential figure in cyber security. Since leaving the forces, Keren has earned Certified Information Systems Security Professional status, and become a Senior Researcher at the Balvatnik Interdisciplinary Cyber Research Center of Tel Aviv University. Having also worked as an Information Security Architect for iTcon, an Operational Security Expert for Matrix and a Cyber Security Business Development Manager for Verint, there is very little that Keren does not know about cyber security, hacking and cybercrime.

To further spread her expertise in cyber security, Keren has become the Founder of Leading Cyber Ladies and the Co-Founder of BSidesTLV. Leading Cyber Ladies is a dedicated event that brings together women who are experts in the field of cyber security, having worked with clients such as Microsoft and SAP to name but a few. BSidesTLV is the largest hacker community event in Israel, at which Keren demonstrates her expertise as an ethical hacker. Having also been a member of the Visiting Faculty and a Teaching Fellow of Singularity University, it comes without surprise that Keren was invited to deliver the TEDx talk Hackers: The Internet’s Immune System.
