Gil Baram

Gil Baram, PhD, is a highly regarded Cyber Security keynote speaker and strategic adviser with more than 15 years’ experience working at the intersection of cyber security, emerging technologies, and global security. Known for her ability to translate complex cyber risk into clear, decision-ready insight, Gil supports leaders navigating an increasingly volatile digital environment. Her work focuses on the real-world implications of cyber warfare, AI-enabled threats, cyber diplomacy, and the protection of critical and space-based infrastructure. Gil currently serves as a Senior Lecturer at Bar-Ilan University, alongside roles as a Non-Resident Research Scholar at UC Berkeley’s Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity and Berkeley Risk and Security Lab, and a Senior Adjunct Research Fellow at the Centre of Excellence for National Security at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Earlier in her career, she was a Fulbright Cybersecurity Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University’s Center for International Security and Cooperation. She previously held cyber intelligence positions within Israel’s National Information Security Authority, contributing to national-level cyber strategy and risk assessment. She also served as Head of the Cyber and Space Research Group at Tel Aviv University, leading research into cyber conflict, space system vulnerabilities, and state behaviour in cyberspace. Her work examining cyber operations during active conflicts, including attacks on satellite communications and critical infrastructure, has positioned her as a trusted authority on how cyber threats unfold in real time and what organisations must do to prepare.
