David Linthicum

David Linthicum is a globally recognised cybersecurity, cloud computing and enterprise technology authority, whose expertise helps organisations understand how security must evolve alongside increasingly complex cloud and AI environments. With more than 30 years of experience in enterprise technology, David is currently Founder and Lead Researcher of Linthicum Research, where he advises organisations on cloud architecture, cybersecurity, governance, AI and digital transformation. Previously, he served as Managing Director and Chief Cloud Strategy Officer at Deloitte Consulting, establishing himself as an influential voice on secure cloud adoption, multicloud strategy and enterprise technology architecture.

David’s career spans technical, consulting and executive leadership roles across some of the technology industry’s most significant organisations. His early experience included positions at Mobil Oil, HP Enterprise Services, AT&T Solutions and Ernst & Young, before progressing into senior technology leadership. David became CTO of SAGA Software, CTO of Mercator, later acquired by IBM, and CTO of Grand Central Communications. He subsequently served as CEO of BRIDGEWERX and founded Blue Mountain Labs, advising Global 2000 organisations on emerging technologies. David later joined Cloud Technology Partners as Senior Vice President, before becoming Chief Cloud Strategy Officer at Deloitte Consulting in 2018, a position he held until 2024.
